How to find Oakwood Designs

If you are visiting The Lake District you will receive a warm welcome in either of our two shops. They are located about one mile apart, one in Windermere village and the other in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Both shops are conveniently sited close to car parks, and well served by public transport, not only buses and trains but also passenger boats on beautiful lake Windermere.

Our Windermere shop, at 18, Crescent Road, handles mail orders and has the most popular items on display, and most items in stock. Open Monday to Saturday. From the railway station turn left and walk downhill, bear left at the Queen's Hotel and follow Crescent Road round past the Post Office and our Windermere shop is 50 yards on the right.

Bowness-on-Windermere is a larger shop and is therefore able to have all our lines out on display. It is in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere at the top of Crag Brow, between Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Pondon Mill and opposite Lakeland. Open 7 days a week most of the year, phone to check before driving to us week days during January to March– we are normally open, but during the quieter winter months we are sometimes on flexitime opening!

Car parking for the Windermere shop is available at Broad St. car park, and the Bowness shop has large car parks only about 2 minutes walk from the shop.
